When Annie Daschle arrives in New York City, the only thing she can control is her list.
Not her father’s death or the loss of her home. Not the hole in her heart or the defective valve that’s dictated so much of her life. But she can put pen to paper to make a list of all the ways she can live out loud, just like her dad would have wanted.
See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: Check.
Eat hot dogs on the steps of The Met: Check.
Get a job at Wasted Words: Check.
What wasn’t on her list: Greg Brandon. And just when she thinks she’s figured out where to put him, everything changes. In the span of a few staggering heartbeats, she finds herself her caught in the middle of something she can’t find her way out of, with no clear answers and no rules.
List or no list, she realizes she can’t control anything at all, not even her heart.
Not the decisions it makes, and not the moment it stops.

OMG! OMG! What do I do? I'm so in love with this book. It stole the first place in my heart that belonged to Tonic and once again wanted the Brazilian readers to read it too as well. Oh my poor life!

Annie is the kind of naive, romantic and dreamy girl who, after losing everything with her father's death, goes to live in the house of Uncle John , someone whom she hardly knows. She always suffered from a heart problem that made her a quiet girl and enjoyed reading a lot and avoiding hustle and bustle, partying and dating. Before she arrives in New York, she created a list of the firsts she dreams to make her life as intense and full of love as her father has always dreamed for her. But she just did not expect to meet Greg.

Greg is the bar manager of the Wasted Words bookstore (which appears the first time in the first book  that tells the love story of Tyler and Cam- the owner). Greg is a skateboarder, a serious, educated, gentle, thoughtful, and totally devoted to his family, especially after his mother's death. He would never have imagined that his life would take a 360-degree turn when Annie entered not only in the bookstore but in his heart.

Only problem is that Annie is a girl yet, she is 18 years old, 10 years younger than him and treats him like an older brother. He does everything to prevent everyone from realizing how he was charmed by the sweet, glimpse of this countrygirl, failing greatly as Cam and Ellen (Annie's older sister) suddenly notice.
The approach of the two is gradual and everything that they lived and will live together cause them to identify with each other more and more, which leaves everything more complicated for the heads of both.

I love Jane Austen’s books, funny is that I always found Sense and Sensiblility a little monotonous but Staci with her dynamic, fluid and light writing managed to change it and how I love a good re-reading, It united useful to pleasant. What made it easy for me to see the references of the classic work in contemporary was that I read a Sense and Sensibility mangá in December and had seen the film again. Then with everything fresh in my memory, I plunged from the love story of Sensibility sister. Annie just like Marianne is optimistic and always sees the good side of things but behold in Living the character got a little different and made me twist from the start because she is not annoying as the original character, making Annie a girl who even passionate realize what is really best for her.

Staci retained the character traits of Jane's book and modernized the questions and experiences, creating an astounding book.

The story goes on a crescendo, making the reader fond of each of the characters and see the importance of each one in the plot reaching a breathtaking summit.

Highlighted in addition to the protagonists (who I loved passionately) was Meg, Ellen and Annie's younger sister, the noisy dogs of Aunt Susan and Greg's family. More than special characters.

I loved the whole book too much even the strongest part and I can tell that I felt on the skin some of Annie's first times, super romantic ... A sighing Cat has not yet recovered ... and that's where the bad part comes in. This book threw me into a reading hangover that I had not had for a long time (a year and a half without being at the rock bottom), I'm so down, so down that I can not read anything else, to you have an idea, I've already read the parts that I liked the most 3 times . Oh my poor life!

Now I'm already hoping for the couple's involvement in Ellen's book and have a book for Greg's sibilings as well.

I have also the needing to talk about this beautiful cover and the playlist that filled some scenes, loved every song chosen and the moment it played and even the cover for me has a musical rhythm.

Kisses, Myl

Ver a cidade do topo do Empire State Building: OK.
Comer cachorros-quentes nos degraus do The Met: Ok.

Beijos,Myl
