I think I'm going to start my review like most of the reviewers because I think it was a general feeling after all we are fans of Jane Harvey-Berrick's dramatic writing and we are fans of Stuart Reardon's undeniable beauty and this union surprised many of us. I am accustomed to wartime and distressing books about ex-prisoners or addicts typical of Jane Harvey and I looked forward to reading her first book on Sports Romance in addition to the unusual partnership with a cover model and former rugby player. What would come of this mixture?
The result was a lightweight book and at the same time with dramatic moments where I was able to perceive when the writing changed style with the masculine touch and where Jane's style was stronger and what I found more fantastic was how she managed to quantify her already mature writing with Stuart's beginner writing without drawing attention from the spotlight to her, but rather extolling his work and making the partnership something pleasing to readers with a balanced text and a fantastic result.
Narrated in third person alternately by each of the protagonists, we know each of the pains of these characters so complex and at the same time so simple that only want to love and be loved.
It all begins with Nick explaining in a prologue when it all goes wrong that one really knows one person and initiating his narrative about how badly he injured himself and gave up the hopelessness of having ended his career at the moment he would start in a professional team. All the way until finding Dr. Anna, an expert on dealing psychologically with athletes, a woman with a past that is trying to rebuild life.
The last thing Anna needs and wants is an emotional involvement with her client but that's exactly what Nick does not want to avoid when realizing how special and caring she is to him. The sexual tension between them is strong but forbidden and when it explodes they try in any way that the club of Nick does not discover because of a clause in the contract of both that prohibits relationship between athletes and technical staff. Have you seen where the conflict point might come from, right? No ! Nothing prepares you for what really causes the two twists and turns in the plot. Anything!
It was very interesting to follow the forbidden love story between these characters, mainly because Nick is very cute, family and loyal to the one who loves, turning him into a desired and passionate enchanted prince and that Anna would be a fool if she did not give in to that passion. What an overwhelming passion!
I loved this cover and especially how the title came about.
I can end by saying that I already want more of this Jane-Stuart partnership and more books about the other players, especially Fetuao, a clubmate and a friend of Nick,after all we are talking about a Sport Romance and the fans deserve a little more. I just think!

Acho que vou começar minha resenha como a da maioria das leitoras, porque acredito que foi um sentimento geral, afinal, somos fãs da escrita dramática de Jane Harvey-Berrick e somos fãs da beleza incontestável de Stuart Reardon, e essa união surpreendeu a muitas de nós.
Estou acostumada com os livros de guerra e angustiantes sobre ex-prisioneiros ou viciados típicos de Jane Harvey, e fiquei na expectativa de ler seu primeiro livro de Sports Romance, além da parceria inusitada com um modelo de capa e ex-jogador de rugby. O que viria desta mistura?
O resultado foi um livro leve e, ao mesmo tempo, com momentos dramáticos, onde consegui perceber quando a escrita mudava de estilo com o toque masculino e onde o estilo de Jane era mais forte. E o que achei mais fantástico foi como ela conseguiu dosar sua escrita já madura com a escrita iniciante de Stuart sem chamar a atenção dos holofotes para ela e, sim, enaltecendo o trabalho dele e transformando a parceria em algo agradável aos leitores com um texto equilibrado e um resultado fantástico.
Narrado em terceira pessoa alternadamente por cada um dos protagonistas, conhecemos cada uma das dores destes personagens tão complexos e, ao mesmo tempo, tão simples que apenas desejam amar e ser amados.
Tudo começa com Nick explicando num prólogo como é quando tudo dá errado que se conhece uma pessoa verdadeiramente e iniciando sua narrativa sobre como se lesionou gravemente e se entregou a desesperança de ter acabado com sua carreira bem no momento em que iniciaria num time profissional. Tudo até encontrar a Dra. Anna, uma especialista em lidar psicologicamente com atletas, uma mulher com um passado marcado e que está tentando reconstruir a vida.
A última coisa que Anna precisa e quer é um envolvimento emocional com seu cliente, mas é justamente isso que Nick não quer evitar ao perceber como ela é uma mulher especial e que o trata com carinho a atenção. A tensão sexual entre eles é forte porém proibida e quando explode eles tentam, de todo jeito, que o clube de Nick não descubra por causa de uma claúsula no contrato de ambos que proíbe relacionamentos entre atletas e equipe técnica. Já viu de onde pode vir o ponto de conflito, né? Mas nada prepara você para o que realmente provoca as duas reviravoltas na trama. Nada!!!
Foi muito interessante acompanhar a história de amor proibido entre estes personagens, principalmente porque Nick é muito fofo, família e leal a quem ama, transformando ele num príncipe encantado desejado e apaixonante e que Anna seria uma boba se não se entregasse a essa paixão. Ui! Que paixão avassaladora!
Amei essa capa e principalmente como surgiu o título.
Posso terminar dizendo que já quero mais desta parceria Jane-Stuart e que venham mais livros sobre os outros jogadores principalmente Fetuao, companheiro de clube e amigo de Nick, afinal estamos falando de um Sport Romance e os fãs merecem um pouco mais. Só acho!

Me apaixonei pelo livro assim que vi a capa e toda resenha que estou lendo dele só me faz ter mais vontade de ter ele na minha estante, estou simplesmente apaixonada não há outra palavra para descrever o quanto quero o livro!!!
