**Hearts on Air is a contemporary romance and book #6 in the Hearts series, however it can also be read as a complete standalone.**

As soon as I started reading Hearts on Air, I was quite afraid of what was to come because I'm not much fan of a book where the guy makes the girl suffer só much all the time and then comes back as if nothing had happened and she falls into his arms again easily. But I figured that I could give Trevor a try...

Reya is a lonely girl who was left to fend for herself by her Spanish traditionalist family. She is a pianist and can get on with her life thanks to the piano lessons she gives and the presentations she makes. She's the kind of sweet, vulnerable, needy, sweet girl who conquers people around her even unintentionally. Her best friend Karla is her safe haven and she always had a crush on Trevor, brother of Karla's boyfriend. He is An electric and agitated, inconsequential and impulsive boy who flirts with all the girls around him.

Trevor eventually seemed to be the safe haven of Reya too until he started to succeed on a TV reality show where he works with his friends Paul, Callum, Leanne and James where they play parkour. He ends up letting success quickly rise to his head and moves away from Reya.

The synopsis sums up Trevor's idea to win back Reya, and it was at this point that the book began to please me because she does not immediately accept the reconciliation behavior he presents. After having suffered so very much in the hands of this boy, she is determined not to give herself again to that passion. With some flash of the past, we understand all of Reya's reluctance and at times I was very angry with him.

Trevor's idea of taking Reya with him in the European season of the series turns out to be a maturing journey for her that little by little begins to realize how Trevor has changed and is very different from the boy that she endured two years ago but nevertheless she does not Is willing to give in to the boy's charms. I loved this. She imposes herself before him and makes him go a long way of forgiveness and self-control to get a chance with her again.

The writing of L.H. Cosway is fantastic and made me dream about her melodic and lyrical phrases. As Reya is a songwriter, she composes songs during this tour and this has greatly increased the emotional load of the whole plot leading me to a deep reading hangover.

The story is built up with Reya's narration and we put on the girl's shirt and feel everything she has endured throughout life, cheering every now and then so she can relearn how to trust people and especially Trevor. He in turn redeems himself in the best way, showing how mature and willing he is to stay with Reya and wins my heart too.

I just do not favorited it because I do not find the motive justifying his behavior plausible, which explains why he distanced himself from Reya for two years and their situation in a standoff between friends and affair was repetitive at some parts of the book. Anyway, this does not take away the brightness of the story and all the excitement of living the reality show with this great friends.

I found the participation of all the characters of the previous books wonderful, and the final chapters and epilogue were thrilling. The cover and the explanation for the title are fantastic.

Kisses, Myl
